Mischa Hedges is a social entrepreneur and
an award-winning documentary filmmaker.
His passion is telling stories that raise awareness of social and environmental issues and inspire people to take positive action.
Mischa was inspired at an early age by the impact documentary films can have on the world, and went to film school in Los Angeles to study documentary filmmaking. After producing and directing several documentary films and working in Los Angeles as a professional video editor, he moved to San Francisco to round out his creative skills and talent with a graduate degree in Business.
Mischa received an MBA in Sustainable Enterprise from Dominican University’s Green MBA program, where he focused on communications and marketing. In 2011, he co-founded TrimTab Media, a communications agency that produces impactful documentaries and works with progressive businesses and non-profit organizations with a commitment to a more sustainable world to tell their stories, helping them amplify the positive impact of their work.
Mischa grew up exploring the woods, rivers and mountains of Northern California and selling produce at his family’s farmers market booth. When he’s not at work telling stories, you’ll find him outside – trail-running, surfing, biking, swimming or exploring wherever he happens to be. Mischa also serves on the board of The Bar 717 Ranch, a rustic summer camp for children aged 8-16.
